BibleWorks contains a large number of resources that deal with study of the Bible in its original languages. Nevertheless, it is not absolutely necessary to know those languages in order to benefit from having BibleWorks as a study tool. Those who are without knowledge of Greek or Hebrew can benefit from the many databases, even those in the original languages. This is realized via tagged Bible texts that display information such as English definition and parsing information in a pop-up Word Tip window and in the Word Analysis part of the Analysis Window when the cursor is placed over a word. Certain English Bibles such as the New American Standard (NAS) and the King James Version (KJV) contain Strong's Data for most words in the translation. Some foreign language versions also contain this coding based on the Strong's numbering system.

Availability of English language dictionaries provide study tools for Bible topics, and the same Strong's numbering also makes it possible to look up words in the original language lexicons without having knowledge of that language. Many tools and resources provide functionality that will make this program useful, despite the lack of language skills in the one using it. Other tools such as the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge and Nave's Topical Bible are eminently useful to such students.

If one desires to learn Greek or Hebrew, BibleWorks includes a Vocabulary Flashcard Module with Greek and Hebrew flashcards, audio files of the words being pronounced are also available on the flashcards, and a number of grammars for study of both Greek and Hebrew.

BibleWorks is a tool for studying the Bible. Like a high-end camera, there are features that will be more useful to some than to others, but even the most amateur photographer can take a picture. Likewise, one need not be an expert in Greek or Hebrew to benefit from the use of BibleWorks as a study tool.
