From time to time, problems arise in the BibleWorks program that may require access to the BibleWorks Trouble-Shooting Options menu:

This menu offers a number of measures that may serve to restore the program to normal operation. How one accesses this menu differs based on three variables:

On what version of Windows is BibleWorks running?

Is BibleWorks running on a Mac?
What version of BibleWorks is installed?

The following information describes how to access the needed menu under these varying circumstances.  Many of the steps are quite similar, but differences are noted for the different environments.

Windows 10*

1. Click the Windows Start button to display the Start Menu.

2. Find the icon used to start BibleWorks.

a. It may be an icon/tile on the Start Menu.

b. It may be necessary to click the "All Apps" button at the bottom of the left column and find BibleWorks on that list.

c. If found on the "All Apps" list, you will first encounter the program group folder.  Click it to view the shortcuts listed under it.

3. Press and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard.  (Keep it down until directed to release it.)

4. Right-click on the BibleWorks icon/tile.

5. From the context menu that display, choose "Run As Administrator"

6. When the User Account Control appears to ask "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC?" click "Yes".

7. When the BibleWorks Trouble-Shooting Options menu appears, release the SHIFT key.

4. Move the mouse pointer over "Run As Administrator" and click once with the left mouse button.  (Keep the SHIFT key held down.)
