Find and run the bwcheckdisc.exe file on the drive to check if there are any errors.  The procedure to do this follows:

On a Windows computer:

a. Double-click on BWCheckDisc.exe, it will start checking the flash drive for errors.
b. If it does not start doing so, click the button that says "Check BibleWorks media Now."  The checking process may take several minutes, but ongoing status of the checking will be reported in the upper right of the box.
c. If an error condition is reported, the flash drive may be defective and need to be replaced.
d. If the report only indicates "0 file(s) failed the CRC check." and has no other information above it, the flash drive is likely not defective. The window should show information like this:

On a Mac:

  1. Insert the BibleWorks flash drive. It should show in the Finder as a mounted drive.
  2. Using the macOS Launcher, hold down the Shift key, and run BibleWorks. (Or, in a Finder window, go to the Applications folder, and while holding down the Shift key, run the BibleWorks app in Applications.)
  3. From the menu across the top of your screen, click on BibleWorks, then Run command. Browse to the bwcheckdisc.exe file on the flash drive and click Run. The above Check BibleWorks Media Integrity window should appear.
  4. Press the Check BibleWorks Media Now button.
  5. If an error condition is reported, the flash drive may be defective and need to be replaced.
  6. If the report only indicates "0 file(s) failed the CRC check." and has no other information above it, the flash drive is likely not defective.
