In the Command Line section of the program interface there are, among other things, two buttons that enable one to cycle forward or backward through verses that have been viewed in the program.  This is called the "Search Window History".  The buttons will appear to the right, or upper right of the Command Line tabs, depending on the number of Command Line tabs and the width of the Search Window panel.  The illustration below shows the buttons in a common position.

It is possible to hide these buttons with the use of a command at the bottom of the context menu for the Command Line tabs, that command being "Enable Search Window History".

If the buttons are not in view, therefore, open the popup menu to check the status of the "Enable Search Window History" command.  If the command does not have a checkmark, it is 'Off'.  Click on it to toggle it on.

This information pertains to BibleWorks versions 7, 8 & 9.  This also applied to BibleWorks running with the BibleWorks Mac Installer.

In BibleWorks 10, these buttons have been replaced by the Search Version History button, which displays a menu of previously viewed verses.  For information on that, click here.
