You may have observed that when BibleWorks is installed it makes a BibleWorks folder in your Documents folder in Windows.

Some users have asked if the creation of this folder can be turned off or that it be created in another location on one's computer. When attempts are made to delete the folder, BibleWorks creates a new one when the program is opened.

We observed that BibleWorks began to create this folder some years ago under developing changes to the Windows operating system. It is not created intentionally by the BibleWorks program and we do not know of a way to stop it. We believe that it may be done automatically when the program registers file extensions with the Windows operating system.

The presence of the folder does no harm to the operation of one's computer or BibleWorks. Unfortunately, we have no means of preventing the folder from being created. It is a Windows issue and not a BibleWorks issue.
