Problem: When one displays the popup context menu for a word in the Greek New Testament, then selects “Lookup Lemma in Lexicon Browser” the response is “No matching entry was found.  Do you want to check other lexicons/dictionaries?”

Cause: The Greek New Testament version in use is the GNT, that is, the Friberg Greek NT.

Explanation: This may be a legitimate response in some cases if the ‘default’ Lexicon Browser Greek lexicon does not happen to contain that word, but there instances where the word entry is known to exist in the default lexicon, but the error occurs.  This error condition occurs when the GNT (Friberg Greek NT) is the version in which the word occurred.  These are instances of homonyms – works spelled the same but with different meanings and etymology. The Friberg database distinguishes them while the other Greek New Testament databases do not.

Solution: When this error occurs, try the action on the same word in another Greek New Testament version, such as the BNT Nestle-Aland.
