An important diagnostic file formerly requested by BibleWorks Customer Support (no longer available) was the BibleWorks initialization file that holds many of the configuration settings for BibleWorks.  This file has the name "bwn00.ini", where n is the version of BibleWorks being used.  For BibleWorks 10, the name of the file is BW1000.ini.

To locate this file, although no longer for copying and sending to BibleWorks Customer Support, use Windows Explorer, Windows File Explorer, or Mac Finder to navigate to the BibleWorks folder.  Usually this folder is c:\Program Files(x86)\BibleWorks n, where n is as above.

For Windows, to find the bw1000.ini file, please close BibleWorks, then press the Windows logo key + e on your keyboard (Win + E). This opens a File Explorer window, navigate to your C:\ Program Files (x86)\BibleWorks 10, make a copy of your bw1000.ini file and attach to a message to  BibleWorks Customer Support.

If you cannot find the bw1000.ini file you may have the File name extensions off, look for the bw1000 file that is listed as Configuration settings in its file type.

For Mac, please close BibleWorks, then:

1. Open Finder

2. Hold Option and select Go | Library.

3. Go to Library | Application Support | BibleWorks | Bottles | Bibleworks | drive_c | Program Files |

4. Open the BibleWorks 9 or 10 folder depending on which version you have installed.

5. Find the bw1000.ini file in the BibleWorks 10 folder, make a copy of it to attach to your email to  BibleWorks Customer Support. (For BibleWorks 9 find the bw900.ini file).
