How Does BibleWorks Compute Virginia Sales Tax?

The Commonwealth of Virginia has determined that tax on sales to customers in Virginia will be assessed at the rate applicable to the place of business of the selling company.  Because BibleWorks operates out of Norfolk, and because Norfolk is in the 6.0% sales tax region stipulated by the General Assembly, BibleWorks charges 6.0% sales tax to all customers in Virginia.
